Investigating Mummifying Apples
What better way to get kids excited about Egypt than with a really cool science activity and experiment! In this lesson, students observe an apple in salt for a week to see what changes with regard to the mass, weight, or both. Then students design their own testable question using the 4 Question Strategy in which they come up with the idea of testing different substances to see which substances preserves the apple more effectively. This lesson has been used by teachers to introduce Egypt while practicing measurement!
